Connecticut Gambling and Gaming is a safe space for youth and parents to learn more about some of the risks involved with gambling and gaming and to minimize harms. We want this to be an inclusive community environment where people will feel free to help create and share content that are impactful to them
CCPG was proud to be a part of the 2023 Fox 61 Student News Awards! Thank you to Fox 61. The Not Just a Game Award is given to the best story that reports on gambling issues and concerns. Congratulations to the nominees Shane Baran from Norwich Free Academy, Spencer Peterson II from Hall High School, and this year’s winning submission “Getting Help for Problem Gambling” by Carolyn Miner and Kathleen Regan from Manchester High School.

Check out these amazing Gambling Awareness Youth Media Project Showcases from young adults across the state!
The Youth Gambling Awareness Project is an initiative sponsored by DMHAS PGS in partnership with CREC and supported by the CT Council on Problem Gambling (CCPG). Middle and high school aged youth groups from across Connecticut are invited to participate in this project. Groups will receive training and support in developing public awareness projects that focus on problem gambling awareness for peers, families and communities.
